Epiphany Celebration. The Epiphany Celebration is the most significant annual event in Tarpon Springs, drawing thousands of visitors each January. This religious event, rooted in the town’s Greek Orthodox traditions, commemorates the baptism of Jesus Christ in the Jordan River. The celebration includes a procession from St. Nicholas Greek Orthodox Cathedral to Spring Bayou, where the ceremonial blessing of the waters takes place.
